PillCounter Data Deletion

Effective 2026-09-21

Request deletion

PillCounter does not use user accounts. To request deletion of data submitted from the app, email mrlightsource@gmail.com with the subject PillCounter data deletion request. Include the approximate submission date, correction filename if available, and any other details needed to locate the submission. Do not email pill photos or patient information.

Data you can delete on your device

Count history, correction photos, annotations, and settings stay in PillCounter's private app storage. Delete corrections in the app, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall PillCounter. Any training ZIP exported to a user-selected folder must be deleted separately.

What we delete or retain

After we verify and match a request, we delete matching correction archives from active private intake storage. Intake archives are otherwise retained for no more than 90 days. Material already accepted into a curated training dataset is removed where technically feasible. A trained model generally cannot be traced back to or selectively untrained from one submission. Minimal request, security, or legal records may be retained when needed to document the request, prevent abuse, comply with law, or protect the service.

Ordinary cloud counts

Ordinary Accurate count photos are processed for the current request and are not stored in PillCounter's training intake. Infrastructure providers may retain minimized operational logs under their security and legal requirements.
